K2K Curriculum
At Kradle 2 Krayons Early Learning Centre Pendle Hill (K2K), our primary focus is to develop children’s natural enthusiasm for learning – fostering confidence and positive self-esteem and providing a great foundation for future success.
We believe this can be achieved through empowering, encouraging and extending children’s interests, attending to their emotional and physical wellbeing, and working in partnership with parents and caregivers to meet the needs of each individual child. We aim to provide an environment in which their experiences are happy, fun, and stimulating.
K2K’s learning program is centred around the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards, giving your child the best start to their future, creating a passion and a life-long love & appreciation for learning.
K2K’s learning programs are play-based, flexible and responsive, evolving over time to meet your child’s spontaneous and changing needs.
We believe that play and exploration are fundamental to early learning and our child centred programme empowers the child to explore ideas, make decisions, and develop thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
We believe that children learn through their relationships and interactions with other people and the environment, and we encourage positive, responsive, and reciprocal relationships between children and adults.
Our Early Childhood Educators are caring qualified professionals, with the ability to identify teachable and learning moments, and are trained in creating the best learning environments for your children. Our educators provide educational activities, equipment, guidance, and support to encourage their learning, communication, and social skills.
At Kradle 2 Krayons, we believe that school readiness begins from their early age. Our holistic School readiness Program aims at supporting the development of confidence and independence skills that your child will need prior to starting school, helping to build a solid foundation for later learning.
School Readiness Program
The Program consists of a combination of a play-based curriculum as well as some more formal Intentional Teaching group times.
The play-based curriculum provides children with an opportunity to develop skills that will be beneficial to them when starting school, such as developing a sense of belonging, social skills necessary for group participation, responding to and coping with change.
The intentional teaching groups helps children to develop fine, gross motor & cognitive skills, name recognition, writing, reading & comprehension, numeracy skills, self-sufficiency and following instructions, routines & other classroom behaviors.
