Family Resources

Welcome to Kradle 2 Krayons Family. This page will provide all the information you need

K2K provides everything needed to meet your child’s daily needs, including all meals, disposable nappies, sheets, sunscreen and so on. As part of our Enrolment package, your child will receive two K2K t-shirts, sun protection hat and a bag. The only request is that you provide a spare set of clothes, a water bottle daily.

Kradle 2 Krayons is open from 7:00 am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year (closed only public holidays).

Introducing your child can be an emotional time. It is fair to expect some difficult and tearful goodbyes at the start. We aim to work as a team with the parents to ensure your child feels safe and secure. After the enrolment process is complete, an orientation session will take place which will give both you and your child the opportunity to explore their new environment and meet their new teachers.

It will also provide you a glimpse of life at K2K, our offerings, program, and facilities. We will also discuss your child’s interests, routines, and rituals with you at this time. Familiarising your child with their teachers and care setting will be huge help to them.

  1. Register for the Child Care Subsidy by contacting Centrelink either in person, by phone on 136 150 or by accessing your My Gov account at my.gov.au

  1. Book your 3 x 1 hour orientation sessions and confirm your start date to commence at KRADLE 2 KRAYONS

First day (days) are always a significant time for you and your child. While some children settle in right away, others may need few days or weeks to familiarise with the environment. At K2K, we will support you throughout the transition and make it as smooth as possible.

During your child’s first day or days it is perfectly understandable for you to be keen to know how they are doing. We welcome you calling in at the centre anytime to check on your child’s progress. Our staff will always go above and beyond to make the child settle in as quickly as possible. However, every child is unique and settling in time can vary from child to child.

You can help your child settle in by:

  • Coming in for orientation few times prior to starting.
  • Provide a comforting toy such as teddy or a blanket
  • Always communicating with the child when you are going and that you will be back
  • Wherever possible, collecting your child a little earlier the first few times.
